The retail industry has been hit with the growth of a new competitor due to the emergence of ecommerce with brands shrinking their estates and high street presence to combat cost. However, Topps Tiles are going from strength to strength with the customers still liking to get the hands on approach with their interior design.
Our brief was to increase the overall light levels of the stores whilst making the lighting as efficient as possible. In addition to this we had to address feedback where customers were installing their products at home and the colour appearing a different shade to what was originally seen in store.
Our main priority was to ensure a high CRI product was selected for all customer facing products. Selecting the LUG, Raylux product with a custom 95CRI LED board to give the customer the best buying experience possible by viewing the product in its true colour that was not impacted by the lighting.
The same product was able to achieve an efficacy of 149lm/W allowing us to reduce the energy consumed by the existing fittings by 63%.
A total of 5 manufacturers were selected to provide a tailored solution to meet the Topps Tiles team's needs.
Teaming up with MAF Lighting and Testing we were tasked with completing this installation as quickly as possible, taking full advantage of store closures due to COVID-19.
At the peak of the roll out, we were completing 12 stores per week to ensure Topps Tiles could benefit from the energy savings as soon as possible.
With our dedicated project team, we are ready and waiting to assist you on your project!
